Menlo Park, CA, April 15, 2013 – Luxoft, a member of the IBS Group and a global provider of advanced application and product development services, unveiled the new OpenFlow 1.3 module for its open source test automation platform, Twister, at the Open Networking Summit 2013 in Santa Clara, CA. With over 200 test cases available, Twister helps equipment vendors thoroughly test and verify the conformance of their software-defined networking (SDN) products with the OpenFlow 1.3 standard.
“The introduction of OpenFlow 1.3 is a major milestone in the industry-wide adoption of software-defined networking. It is designed to become a sound foundation for a broad range of commercial implementations,” said Vasiliy Suvorov, Vice President of Technology Strategy at Luxoft. “Based on feedback from the community and our participation in Open Networking Foundation we saw a growing need for a commercially supported OpenFlow 1.3 conformance test suite. The new module includes additional conformance tests and productivity features. It can be used easily alongside other test scenarios employed for regression, system, and other types of tests, thus providing a complete test automation environment for network equipment developers.”

Menlo Park, CA — March 28, 2013 – Luxoft, a member of the IBS Group and a global provider of advanced application and product development services, announced today it has become a sponsor of the SDN (Software Defined Networking) Interoperability Lab at the Indiana Center for Network Translational Research and Education (InCNTRE) at Indiana University. Luxoft will provide its test automation framework, Twister, to perform a variety of equipment tests in the lab and actively participate in the SDN community at InCNTRE.
InCNTRE is a neutral, third-party facility supported by Indiana University that encourages the adoption of standard-based SDN, such as OpenFlow, through education, internships, direct networking, and the collaboration of students, faculty, and professionals. InCNTRE conducts interoperability, performance, and proof-of-concept tests for vendors and is the only official conformance-testing lab certified by the Open Networking Foundation (ONF).
“Luxoft is pleased to support InCNTRE and the important role it plays in the industry-wide adoption of SDN and OpenFlow systems,” said Vasilily Suvorov, Vice President of Technology Strategy at Luxoft. “Software-defined networking ushers into a new era of innovation and opportunities for telecommunication industry. We hope that our Twister framework for OpenFlow test automation will help InCNTRE in its importan… Continue Reading →t mission
Menlo Park, CA, October 23, 2012 – Luxoft, a member of the IBS Group and a global provider of advanced application and product development services, today unveiled Twister for OpenFlow at the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress in Darmstadt, Germany.
Luxoft’s Twister test automation platform is an open source test automation framework designed specifically for network infrastructure markets and it is now enhanced to support the OpenFlow protocol for software-defined networking (SDN).
As a member of the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) and an active participant in the semi-annual ONF PlugFest interoperability event, Luxoft is at the forefront of engineering development services in the SDN market. In addition to being leading edge networking technology, software-defined networks separate network data and control planes while inserting a vendor-agnostic interface between these layers thereby removing barriers to innovation in network virtualization and programmability. SDN allows applications to dynamically configure the network and allow accelerated changes to networking services.
“Software-defined networking, combined with Cloud technologies, opens a new world of innovation opportunities for telecommunication providers and commercial enterprises. SDN and OpenFlow facilitate advanced services and Cloud applications that make Luxoft’s Twister for OpenFlow te… Continue Reading →st auto
